2011 will see the Club's 20th Anniversary year and we will be making it special for members old and new, so if you are a previous member or a current member please come along and say hello.  If you are interested in what happens at our fun days and do not have a Tenterfield Terrier you are also welcome to attend.  Our fun days will include special prizes and events.

The Club wishes to thank its sponsors for this year - Show 'Em How Much You Love 'Em Company liver treats and Viva Photography.

Fun Day
Sunday
17 July at 10 am

Rushton Park, Cnr Orlando and River Roads, KELMSCOTT

EXCITING NEWS - the club will be trying its new LURE RACING EQUIPMENT at Rushton Park, so the planned fancy dress will be postponed to another day.  The usual pleasant walk along the river will follow the lure racing.  For the first time at Kelmscott we will have a sausage sizzle, drinks and cakes available.  Come along and try our new equipment and enjoy a tasty repast.  Play ground equipment close by.
.
The Club is pleased to announce it was successful in obtaining a community grant from the City of Armadale to purchase lure chasing equipment.  This grant, combined with a donation from a past member Mrs Waldock, has allowed the Club to purchase the lure for its members young and old to enjoy.   The assistance from the City of Armadale is gratefully appreciated.

The 2011 Tenterfield Terrier calendar was successful and has been seen in some surprising venues.  Thanks to our members and others for your support.  The calendar for 2012 is already underway but new photographs are needed.  If you would like to see your Tenterfield featured in 2012 send in your photograph and the committee will select those pictures which best display the versatility, energy and lovability of our dogs.  Send your photographs to Debbie.

Also be aware of the new website coming soon.

Congratulations to Grace and Gary Fulton's dog Double G TNT I'm Dynamite who has created a record that will be hard to beat.  Dynamite was awarded Best of Breed at the Royal Show on 1 October for the fifth year in a row.

The Club's Fun Day on 15 August 2010 saw a good turnout, with the weather once again being perfect for a day at the park.  Participants were given an unexpected bonus when Rebecca - a regular to our Kelmscott events - bought along a big Tenterfield Terrier cake she baked.  We have always been spoilt by our Secretary Lee who makes her wonderful cakes for every fun day, but Sunday's fun day was particularly sweet.

Did you know the Tenterfield Terrier is one of a small group of dog breeds that can have pups born with a Natural Bob Tail.  As long as one parent has the Natural Bob gene (which has now been identified), pups within the one litter can have a variety of tail lengths from almost no tail to a full (or long) tail.  Those born with a Natural Bob Tail do not suffer any genetic problems due to the presence of the gene.

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN to Grace and Gary Fulton who have titled another GRAND CHAMPION.  Kinlee Brini's Hope (bred by Lee Cullinane) gained her Grand Champion title last year and was the first Tenterfield Terrier in WA to do so.  Now Double G TNT I'm Dynamite has became the first male dog in WA to gain this title.  Dynamite and his mother Hope are both owned by the Fultons.
